Tactics
Fiirst off let me start by saying that your healers need to be very situationally aware. By that i mean they are going to need to know when the spike damage is coming into the raid and which group is going to take it.
DPS need to be able to get to the orbs quickly but only the color that they are assigned to.
Split your raid group in two, one tank, healer and 3 dps in one group and one tank, two healers and two dps in the other, i recommend putting your top two dps together in the group with 2 healers that way the groups are more balanced compared to the other group with three dps.
Tank the two bosses apart from each other with one group assigned to Fjola and the other Eydis.
The Fjola group collects black orbs and AVOIDS the white orbs, the Eydis group picks up the white orbs and AVOIDS the Black orbs. Try to get as many as possibly as they can seriously increase your damage.
ONLY THE DPS NEED TO COLLECT THE ORBS, Please dont make the mistake i have seen where healers and tanks are trying to pick up orbs, Tanks can grab a few if they are close but it shouldnt be an issue unless your having massive aggro gen problems. For healers it's completely pointless.
Keep the DPS up high and ensure that there is plenty of healing, healers should easily be able to identify what members of the raid will need healing from the abilities the bosses use. It's useful to have one boss setup as a focus and the other one targeted, if like me your a click healer using some kind of raid frames then it's much easier to keep on eye on whats being cast.
The biggest chalenge here is making sure that everyone follows the correct tactic and doesnt increase the amount of damage by absorbing the wrong orbs, this is potentially the raids biggest hurdle as it will overwhelm your healers if it happens too often.
Healthstones are excellent here, as are shadow priests for passive healing. We found that this encounter is much easier with ranged DPS rather than a melee heavy group.
Thats it folks, good luck with the Twin Valkyrs and check back to CC often for more guides, articles and news.
