WoW Guide - ICC 10 Man Quick Tactics - UPDATED 17/08/2010

Our ICC 10 quick tactics is a quick reference guide for Raid Leaders and raiders who want to cut through the long winded information and get straight to the important facts and tactics.

Lord Marrowgar – ICC 10 Quick Tactics

Main Tank: Lord Marrowgar
Off Tank: Lord Marrowgar
Ranged DPS: Bone Spike --> Boss
Melee DPS: Boss
Healers: 1 on Tanks and 1 on Raid, the 1 on raid needs to heal the person who gets spiked and have people topped up ready for the Whirlwind.

Raid Leader Remember: Ensure that your ranged DPS get that Bone Spike down ASAP, ensure during Whirlwind DPS stops before it ends (I recommend just dont DPS during that phase) and get them to run to the WALL. Your team MUST stay out of fire, it bloody hurts. Ensure your tanks are ready to pick up once he finishes, thats a common cause of wipes.

Lady Deathwhisper – Raid Leader ICC 10 Quick Tactics

Main Tank: Adds
Off Tank: Adds
Ranged DPS: Adds -> Lady Deathwhisper
Melee DPS: Adds -> Lady Deathwhisper
Healers: One on MT, one on raid

Raid Leader Remember: ALL DPS nukes ADDS. Simple priority system as follows.

MELEE DPS PRIORITY
Empowered Adherent
Reanimated Adherent
Adherent
Fanatic
Deathwhisper

RANGED DPS PRIORITY
Deformed Fanatic
Reanimated Fanatic
Fanatic
Adherent
Deathwhisper

Get those adds down fast, make sure you have a tank over the other side ready for the next wave of adds (although you should get about 20 seconds clear at end of adds to nuke Deathwhisper down), Adds always start on the left. Ask tanks not to stand on corpses otherwise there can be problems when an add is resurected by the boss (melee die to cleave from Deformed Fanatic!).

Just before phase 2 make sure there is a tank there to pick her up!!

During Phase 2 make sure everyone nukes Deathwhisper, use bloodlust, dont stand in death and decay and you MUST HAVE INTERRUPTS ASSIGNED TO HER FROSTBOLTS.

Tanks must to swap on 3-4 Marks.

Gunship Battle - ICC 10 Quick Tactics

Main Tank: Offence, will go to the enemy ship and tank their boss to the side of the ship closest to you.
Off Tank: Defence, will be picking up adds especially the General who whirlwinds.
Ranged DPS: Nuking adds on defence with 1 on offence nuking Sorcerer
Melee DPS: 2 on guns, then when guns frozen they go on offence to take out enemy Sorcerer
Healers: 1 on Defence, healing like mental, 1 on offence stays on your own ship but the tank must make sure they have the enemy boss close to the edge, that way your healer doesnt need to jump over.

Raid Leader Remember: The quicker you kill the Sorcerer on the enemy ship the quicker you can get back in the guns and the more DPS time you get on the enemy ship. YOU MUST have that Sorcerer killed asap. Send over 2 melee and 1 more either ranged (recommended) or melee to help.
Tank MUST be the first over to the enemy ship and the LAST to leave. Get your DPS to shout out when they are clear so they can jump back. Defenders need to stand well clear of the mobs when they are dropping from portals and let tank pickup, the adds can be a bit quirky to tank. I cannot stress how important it is to get that Sorcerer down and the melee back into the guns asap.

Deathbringer Saurfang – Raid Leader ICC 10 Quick Tactics

Main Tank: Deathbringer Saurfang
Off Tank: Deathbringer Saurfang
Ranged DPS: Nuke Bloodbeasts, they must die without hitting anyone
Melee DPS: Nuke Saurfang
Healers: One on tanks, one on raid. The one on raid needs to also heal Mark of the Fallen Champion and Blood Boils as well as general topups.

Raid Leader Remember: Start with a massive nuke and Bloodlust. 3 Ranged on adds that MUST be nuked, try to organise a Mage that has Slow or a Hunter for Frost Traps, or both if your greedy like me. The quicker you kill this bloke the better, you MUST avoid the Bloodbeasts hitting anyone otherwise his Blood Power will stack too quickly, once the first Mark of the Fallen Champion is up your in a race against time. TANKS MUST SWAP QUICKLY when they get Rune of Blood otherwise Saurfang will heal faster than you can DPS. Seriously push your DPS on this fight otherwise your healers will get overwhelmed.

Rotface Strategy – Raid Leader ICC 10 Quick Tactics

Main Tank: Rotface
Off Tank: Ooze Adds
Ranged DPS: Rotface
Melee DPS: Rotface
Healers: One on raid and OT and one on MT (or have a Pally on both tanks with beacon and 1 dedicated raid healer)

Raid Leader Remember: Have group 1 stand on his left and group 2 stand on his right. Have the Off Tank ready to pick up adds. When he does his vomit get the group he is facing to go stack on the other group which will be out of his way. Once he finishes move back to original positions. After the first pool of slime on the floor has dissapeared that is now a safe spot for 3 more pools, it wont activate again until all the rest have.Your Off Tank will need to kite the ooze round the outside of the room, each time one of the raiders gets the debuff have them run in front of the tank and stop, allow the tank and the big ooze to catch up a little bit until they merge then run back to the middle again before they are in range of the ooze's aoe. DO NOT GET TOO CLOSE TO THE BIG OOZE. At 5 merges the Ooze will explode. Have your Off Tank shout when the explosion is about to happen and have everyone move out from the middle a bit so the spatter doesnt all land in the same place and on the MT. Rinse and repeat.

WoW Guide - Festergut Strategy and Tactics – ICC 10 Quick Tactics

Main Tank: DPS while OT is tanking up to 8 stacks, then take over tanking until 8 stacks, then swap again.
Off Tank: Tanks until 8 stacks of Gastric Bloat, then does small amounts of DPS, Tanks again when debuff gone.
Ranged DPS: 3 of them spread out in front of Festergut to deal with the Vile Gas
Melee DPS: Behind Boss
Healers: Stacked on Melee DPS.

Raid Leader Remember: If you get 2 Spores in the melee/healer/off tank group which is stacked right under the boss then shout for one of the melee to run out and stack on the 3 ranged dps who should be clumping together. Good communication on voice comms is the key if that happens. Make sure the ranged stay up if one dies you WILL need a replacement as 3 need to be at ranged for the Vile Gas not to effect melee ranged raiders. If you have a resto druid then i've written a healing guide for a druid to 2 heal Festergut, I do it with a pally and it works well. Resto Druid: Healing Festergut 10 man.

Professor Putricide Strategy and Tactics

Main Tank: MT will be tanking Putricide central in phases 1 and 2, and kiting round outside of room in phase 3
Off Tank: During phase 1 and 2 the OT will be In the abomination, right click on potions table to enter. During the first two phases you must eat the ooze puddles on the floor (action bar 1 on normal mapping), just stand on the puddles and hit 1. When the adds spawn you need to use the slow ability on them and add DPS. In phase 3 the tanks will rotate tanking duties ever 2-3 stacks of the debuff.
Ranged DPS: Nuke Adds. If ANY adds are up they MUST be nuked before the boss. No exceptions. Fast switches from boss to adds is key to this fight.
Melee DPS: On Putricide. Time it so that he doesnt hit the changeover between Phase 2 or Phase 3 when adds are up. Listen to your RL asking for stop on boss DPS.
Healers: We use two healers, one focusing on raid and one focusing on tanks and raid when the tank is covered.

Raid Leader Remember: The raid should stand on the straight line floor marking as you enter the room. This puts them in range of both adds. If there is ooze being thrown at them then they need to move left or right, the opposite side to where the next add spawns. Whoever gets targeted by the green add needs to be stacked on by the ranged while the add is nuked. Whoever gets the gastric bloat debuff from the orange add needs to kite it round the room, this add needs to be slowed as it does massive raid damage should it reach its target. Dont stand in ooze puddles and call for a DPS halt on the boss if there will be adds up during phase switches. Especially phase 3, best to stop dps on boss and take add down then nuke boss. On Phase 3 have your team move to the potions table, then your tanks swap at 2-3 stacks of the debuff while kiting Putricide around the outside of the room to allow for ooze drops. During phase 3 its a race against time, so full nuke and Bloodlust if available.

Valithria Dreamwalker Tactics and Strategy – Raid Leader ICC 10 Quick Tactics

Main Tank: Left side adds
Off Tank: Right side adds
Ranged DPS: Half left, half right
Melee DPS: Half left, half right
Healers: Centralised, keep tanks and raid up but MUST be healing Valithria Dreamwalker as much as possible

Raid Leader Remember: Split your raid into 2 teams consisting of 1 tank, 3 dps and 1 healer. Team 1 takes the left, team 2 takes the right. Adds need to die in this order of priority: Blazing Skeletons > Suppressers > Risen Archmages > Worms > Aboms > Zombies. Hybrid classes should throw a heal on VDW if they get a spare second. Interrupt Archmages and root supressors. Teams shouldnt be afraid to help each other but should make sure they are back for their next spawn of adds. Blazing Skeletons do a channel called "Lay Waste" which will tick for 6k raidwide that cannot be resisted. It's a raid wiper. Nuke them ASAP.

TIP: We do this differently now, we have 3 healers. 1 on raid, the other two go into the portals each time they are up, the healers have about 5-7 seconds once inside a portal to pick up another cloud to ensure they dont lose their stacking buff. Once outside those 2 other healers are dedicated boss healers. You really can hit some massive numbers with this.

Sindragosa Tactics and Strategy - ICC 10 Quick Tactics

Main Tank: Sindragosa
Off Tank: DPS Boss until Phase 3 (35%)
Ranged DPS: Boss
Melee DPS: Boss
Healers: 1 on Tank, 1 on Raid. 1 on raid needs to focus on the people with the stacking magic damage debuff.

Raid Leader Remember: First of the Air Phases come at 85%. The raid team needs to be fully healed up before it hits. The bombs drop in different locations and your team MUST be able to judge their LoS and be hiding behind the frost tombs. Bring the tombs down to about 30% health When the fourth bomb is about to land nuke the rest of the way and carry on. Use the markings at the bottom of the stairs for your Tomb positioning, get people used to using the same area. Dont let your raiders get more than 6 or 7 stacks of the damaging debuff before they stop casting/hitting. A third healer on P3 works wonders. During phase 3 have MT tank for 1 tomb, then OT pickup up before next tomb so MT can hide and drop off the debuff. Bloodlust in P3. In P3, Tombs must still be hiden behind AND killed. Dont let them stack up otherwise you lose too many players to break the Tombs, nuke em down!.

For a druid tank who has downed marrow, lady D, gunship(lol) and orcman, i can say that icc seems more of a reuse of other fights with the undead theme. I can say whoever that my guild is getting whipped still on sin. with 2 month buff up anyway. 10 is easy/ NIGER

I'm working on updating our Sindragosa tactics atm, they are just a bit too basic for my liking so i'm going to add a bit more detail.

What parts of the Sindragosa event do your think causes the most problems?

Thanks mate, I've been trying to use an automatic link generation system based on keyword and made a couple of balls ups.

Now fixed.

Thanks again for the heads up!

Cyb.

Oh my god, this guide is so good, thank you! Could you please link ability names to Wowhead and install the Wowhead script that makes links hoverable, so we can read the abilities right on this site? Like saurfang "blood power", we hover and see exactly what it does. It would take the guide to 100% awesomeness.

Will see what I can do mate, the WoWHead script is already live on the site, it just wasnt put up until after this guide was started. Also I dont use the correct spell names in the guide to try and make it plain english.

I'll finish it for the rest of the bosses and add in what spell hovers I can mate.

Thanks for the feedback much apprecated and all idea welcome!!
