Lord Marrowgar Tactics: Introduction
Lord Marrowgar is one of the encounters in the starting area of Icecrown Citadel, his abilities are based on bleeds, multiple target attacks and high damage melee strikes.
Being one of the first bosses in ICC he's very straight forward and is often taken down by pug groups clearing the first section in ICC called the Entryway.
He looks tougher than he is, we actually think with a design concept like this he should be the final boss of the section, compared to a weedy looking Saurfang!
Lord Marrowgar Tactics: Raid Setup
This fight is best suited to a balance of Ranged and Melee DPS. On 10 man mode it requires 2 tanks and 2 or 3 healers. On 25 man mode it requires 3 tanks and 6 or 7 healers. We recommend as always running with as few healers as you need to increase your dps however that doesnt mean you shouldnt recognise when your healers are struggling and make that switch.
Lord Marrowgar Tactics: Gear Requirements
Main Tank: Tier 9/iLevel 232 and above.
Off Tanks: Tier 9/iLevel 232 and above.
Melee DPS:Tier 9/iLevel 232 and above.
Ranged DPS:Tier 9/iLevel 232 and above.
Healers:Tier 9/iLevel 232 and above.
We believe that with the current emblem system and various other ways to get at least iLevel 232 epics or higher there is no reason for any raider to set foot into ICC without at least that level of gear.
Lord Marrowgar Tactics: Buffs and Consumables
Standard buffs and consumables are to be used. Food buffs, flasks or double elixirs, Fortitude (Runescrolls if you dont have a Priest) and Drums of the Forgotten Kings if your not taking at least 3 Paladins.
Lord Marrowgar Tactics: Boss Abilities
Bone Storm — Attacks nearby enemies in a whirlwind of bone that lasts until canceled. 3 sec cast. Every two seconds, triggers AoE damage that drops off as you get farther away from the boss. Roughly 6k standing on top of him, 4k just inside his hitbox, 2k just outside, and 800 or so at around 30 yards. The boss charges 4 targets before ending the Bone Storm. 30 sec cooldown.
Bone Storm (Heroic mode) — Attacks nearby enemies in a whirlwind of bone, which causes them to bleed for 15 seconds. Instant. 10000+?/3
Bone Spike Graveyard — Hurls a massive bone spike which impales any enemies in the way. Deals 10% health per sec for 5 seconds or until killed. 3 sec cast. 39k hp. 10 sec cooldown.
Bone Spike Graveyard (Heroic mode) — Hurls a massive bone spike which impales any enemies in the way. Deals 10% health per sec for 5 seconds or until killed. 3 sec cast. 5 sec duration
Coldflame — Summons a line of frost that hits enemies in the way. Instant. 8 yd line of effect. Deals 6000 Frost/sec for 3 seconds. Random target.
Coldflame (Heroic mode) — Instant. 8 yd radius. Deals 9000 Frost/sec for 8 sec.
Saber Lash Melee range — Splits 200% of normal melee damage to an enemy and its nearest ally, replacing melee attack. used every second, but not during bone spike graveyard cast; prevents the targets from being targeted by Bone Spike Graveyard.- After 10 minutes, Marrowgar will Enrage increasing his damage done by 500%, attack speed by 150% and makes him immune to taunt.

Coldflame (Heroic mode) — Inflicts 8000 Frost damage every 1.0 sec for 3 sec. Instant. 8 yd radius. Deals 11000 Frost/sec for 8 sec on Heroic

Lord Marrowgar - Phase 2
EVERYONE: Run away, run to the walls and stay away from Marrowgar. Some damage is inevitible however keeping out the Coldflame and maximising your distance from the boss is key.
Main Tanks: Tanks need to grab aggro very quickly once the Whirlwind/Bone Storm second phase finished, it's very easy for a DPS or Healer to grab aggro at that stage if the tanks are not ready in time.
Off Tanks: Still sticking life glue to your MT buddy.
DPS: STOP DPS, lest you pull aggro before the tanks at the end of this phase.
Healers: Make sure everyone is topped up on HP before this phase starts and try to throw out a few heals if you can but make sure you dont get healing aggro at the end of this phase.

Misc Tips
Coldflame moves slowly and generally targets the ranged, watch it coming and move slightly to one side, it only lasts 3 seconds on normal mode and 8 seconds on heroic allowing you to move back into postion.
Bloodlust at the start as it's when you have all your DPS available to make a difference before the boss starts spiking people.
