Breath attack: Nefarian and Onyxia have a frontal cone shape AoE breath attack, which also animates adds for a set time period.

Children of Deathwing: Nefarian and Onyxia gain a 100% damage buff if they are not kept at least 60 yards apart.

Animated Warrior Adds: Need to be crowd controlled until their energy runs out and they despawn. Dont DPS them, they like it. Dont tank them, they hit like a truck in the end. CC only.

16 DPS

Nefarian Tactics

You start the fight by engaging a newly resurrected Onyxia. Move her to one side of the room, keep her facing away from the raid INTO THE WALL with her side exposed to the DPS, standard dragon formation rules apply, including tail swipe and bad breath attacks.

At this point Nefarian is summoning some playmates for your in the form of an Animated Warrior. Your plan should be to kite these adds to a safe corner and let them die (run out of energy) far enough away that they cant be ressurected by either dragons breath attacks.

Onyxia needs to be dead or near enough by the time Nefarian lands, this will be after you have dealt with around 6 Animated Warriors. Onyxia will also do an overload AoE, just get out the way, or if you are melee stand inside the boss until it's finished, you'll now when it's about to happen because of the orbs floating around.

When Nefarian lands your tank needs to take him to the OPPOSITE side of the room to where you should have almost killed Onyxia. Nefarian should be FACING THE WALL so his flame breath cannot keep resurrecting the adds.

Once Onyxia is dead Nefarian will take off and fill the room with lava. The raid will need to swim through this and climb on top of the pillars where your will fight the Prototype Adds. Remember to interrupt these adds when they start doing their Fire Nova. Kill the adds ASAP, your raid will need to be split into groups to be able to deal with all the pillars. At random points during this phase expect there to be a raid wide AoE that requires burst healing.

After the adds are down or 3 minutes have passed Nefarian will land and your Tank will need to position him the same way, facing the wall so his breath cannot resurrect.

Avoid Shadowy Blaze that appears on the floor, eventually the adds will resurrect and it's at this point that your in a DPS race against a soft enrage timer, these adds get bigger and bigger and will eventually one shot even your tanks, they must be CC'd while keeping DPS focussed on Netharian.

Kill, loot and cheer!

Good luck out there,

Cybac.
