flanksGreetings all and welcome to our rapidly changing website and the first edition of Little ball of Rage

Even more importantly though, in fact THE most important thing going on in this part of the internet currently, is welcome to my new blog! (Sorry Cybac.... please don't fire me!)

I have given a fair amount of thought to what sort of blog this will be. There is no shortage of information sources for WoW players on the internet. There are numerous sites competing for dominance over the maths behind dps, there are sites listing gear and boss tactics etc. However, the thing that tends to be missing from each of these sites is a bit of realism.

In short, this blog will be about me the player and my ongoing adventures in the World of Warcraft. So to help sell it in advance, it is probably important to give you a run down on who that is!

My original dose of WoW was in fact as a raiding druid in Vanilla, a quite successful one at that. I, according to blizz, was one of 1% or so of players who were involved in Naxx the first time around.

Druid?? DRUID??? That's not a warrior! Nope, but fear not the druid died soon after. During early TBC my guild needed a new tank and so my warrior became my main. I maintanked through all and ever content in TBC, with a late switch to DPS about half way through Sunwell. While DPS is my 'main' spec, I belong to a guild which appreciates having someone who can tank. So like all good warriors, I lug around my spare gearsets, in one way or another I have tanked every fight in WotLK too, including hardmodes.

In terms of progress, I have the raiding drakes (yes, including an Ulduar drake when T8 was still the best tier set), titles, gear, legendaries etc to indicate to any who care about these things that I know my way around.

So this blog will mostly be chat and discussion from a player who plays purely because he enjoys it. I like progress, because I like to do things well. So do I have an ego? Yup! Importantly though, do I lord it over other people? No. I couldn't care less, I look after my game and I am happy for other people to play it the way they want to as well.

So this will be me chatting about the game, depending on what is annoying me, giving me fun, giving me thoughts at the time in question. I may dip into the maths occasionally, but to be honest the maths is not hard and never has been, so if it happens it will probably be because my mind has wandered off on a tangent somewhere about some obscure statistical deviance which I noticed when I should have been concentrating on something else.

Either way, here I am! A little ball of rage because all true warriors are Gnome. If you know a great warrior who is not a gnome then he is Gnome in heart. I say this sure in the knowledge that if you are 8 inches high (unbuffed) and willing to bounce, yip, bite and hit something 30 times your size, then surely you have the greatest heart of all!
