Raid Leader Rant: But i'm skint!

Hello folks

Welcome to this weeks edition of Raid Leader Rant, today the topic is one that really winds me up, the issue of people saying they cant raid or bring the right consumables, have the right enchants or decent gems socketed because they are.... wait for it..... yes..... SKINT!

In the current World of Wacraft build, expansion and patch there are a million and one ways to make gold so why on hells earth are people still complaining about being skint? It's really the most ridiculous excuse for not being prepared that i have ever heard and quite honestly shows a lack of preparation and an inability to plan for life at top end raiding.



Now i will say there are rare occasions when i can half, and i mean only half, understand why folks may find themselves completely brassic, I helped a guildy out with repair costs the other night because they had just spent 5k on their epic riding skill. Do i think they should have waited to buy it till they had at least a 500g buffer? yes i do, but i also understand the excitment of getting the 5k together and wanting to go spend it finally.

Most of the time however it's just plain lazy. Go do a few daily quests and earn yourself some gold, stop being idle and organise yourself all you need is 15-30 minutes and you will have enough to cover a whole nights raiding even if that night goes wrong and turns into a wipefest, and if it goes smoothly you'll have change for the next raid!

Buy and sell stuff on the ah, go farm mats, grind eternals, offer yourself up for services that have no ui programmed into wow yet, i dont really care what you do, or how you do it (as long as you dont bring the name
of the guild into disrepute) set yourself aside some time to get the cash you need for decent enchants, gems and all the flasks and buff food you could eat without vomiting everywhere and then go buy some more!

Now I'm an elixir master, so I offer guildies my services, bring me the mats, keep the procs, voila!! flasks for the next week or so, or failing that I sell them at 50% of the ah price to guildies.

These lazy folks who complain about having no golds really should learn that there are more aspects to the game than rolling a million alts that you cant afford to fund and then having to do a half arsed job on your main that should be your blinged up pride and joy, your main is your showcase, dont let it look like a tramp!

Take your crap green gems, stick em where the sun dont shine and sort out your toon, you look like you should be drinking meths in a corner while roasting a cockroach on somebody elses cooking fire!

As for those low level enchants that you wont upgrade "just in case" you get a better drop and replace it in the next few weeks, wtf are you doing, you got epic gear? then go get your epic enchants so you dont look like Mr Scrooge at Christmas time.

Sort yourself out people and dont let your guild down, appearances mean a lot when your carving a name for yourself, alliances, invites and general opinion rely on success and image, if you think it's not important, your mental and damnright wrong!

For god sake people ask in guild, someone is bound to be a master chef or elixir master or top level JC, whatever it is you need i'm sure its out there and if it isnt in your guild then tell your officers you need to get someone to cover that area, every guild should be able to look after its members.

If you keep the money within the guild everyone will be better off, some random from the AH getting my golds when a guild mate could be raiding without a care in the world really pisses me off.

Sort it out and use your brain, if you cant make a few hundred gold easily then you probably need to go to special school.
